My name is Shannon Tarver. I’m a husband, a father of three—with our fourth blessing on the way—and the owner of Tarver Stump Grinding LLC.
This business was built the old-fashioned way: with sweat, sacrifice, and the relentless drive to build something better for my family. I work a full-time job Monday through Thursday to keep a steady income, and every other moment I can find—nights, weekends, early mornings—goes into running this business. It’s not easy, but it’s worth every bit of the grind.
What started as a side hustle has grown into something I take deep pride in. I don’t just grind stumps—I solve problems for homeowners, landowners, and builders who need reliable, honest work. I know what it’s like to want a job done right the first time, without excuses or shortcuts. That’s the standard I hold myself to.
This isn’t just about stumps—it’s about legacy. Every job I take helps build a life for my family and shows my kids what real work looks like. Our history
Tarver Stump Grinding LLC was born out of necessity, hard work, and a deep sense of responsibility.
What started as a way to bring in extra income for my growing family quickly turned into a full-blown mission. I, Shannon Tarver, was working a full-time job Monday through Thursday, but it wasn’t enough—I wanted more for my wife, my three kids, and the fourth little one on the way. So I invested in a stump grinder and started knocking on doors.
At first, it was just evenings and weekends—learning the trade, building a customer base, figuring out how to turn grit into results. I didn’t have a marketing team or a fancy office. I had determination, a truck, and the willingness to outwork anyone else in the game.
As the jobs kept coming and the word spread, I realized something: people weren’t just hiring me for the stump grinding—they were hiring me because they trusted me. Because I showed up when I said I would. Because I respected their property. Because I treated every yard like it was my own.
Over time, Tarver Stump Grinding LLC went from a side hustle to a dependable name in land clearing and stump removal. We’ve expanded, upgraded our equipment, and refined our process—but the foundation remains the same: faith, family, and work ethic.
